Oak Valley - The Pool Room

Relax on The Pool Room terrace, relishing country inspired cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the farm where possible. Feast on freerange grass-fed beef, acorn-fed pork, charcuterie, naturally grown vegetables and freshly baked artisanal breads from the wood-burning oven.

Wagyu, the famous cattle breed from Japan, where it is better known as Kobe beef, will be on offer from time-to-time depending on availability. Wagyu is a delicacy famous for its incredible marbling and flavour.

The Pool Room provides the quintessential pasture to plate experience. We're bringing Harrods to the countryside.

Picnic season: 1st November - 30th April

Spend an afternoon in our tree-shaded gardens & enjoy your own private picnic prepared using the freshest seasonal farm produce. A picnic blanket and drinks table is provided along with quality glassware to enjoy our estate wines.

If the weather looks unsuitable for picnicking we will call you and cancel the picnic in advance. If we are able to accommodate you in the restaurant we will offer this as an alternative - during busy periods there is no guarantee.

The wine tasting room is located within The Pool Room Restaurant venue. Tastings are charged at R20 per person for a selection of 5 wines of your choosing. The tasting fee is waived upon the purchase of wine.
